A postnasal drip is another common cause of night-time cough. It is often associated with colds, flu, or allergies. It occurs when your body produces excess mucus, which drips down your nasal passageways and into your throat to trigger a cough reflex. Postnasal drip happens more easily at night when you’re lying down. 16

Bronchostop® Nite Active Ingredients

Bronchostop® Nite helps relieve night-time cough, dry cough and early symptoms of common cold and promotes sweating thereby helping to relieve feverish colds. 4,8

Bronchostop® contains a unique combination of natural ingredients, marshmallow root dry extract, lime flower dry extract and ribwort plantain dry leaf extract. 4 These ingredients work together to create a soothing, protective barrier on the pharynx (throat) which reduces the urge to cough, relieves cough irritation and helps to promote sleep. 4,5,13

The product does not contain an expectorant which promotes a cough but contains a demulcent which helps to reduce the urge to cough to help you get a good night’s sleep. Bronchostop® Nite is suitable for children and adults over 4 years old. 4,5,17,18

Marshmallow root dry extract

Marshmallow root dry extract is a demulcent that creates a protective coating on the throat to relieve irritation and reduce the urge to cough. 4,5,9

Lime flower dry extract

Lime flower dry extract helps promote sweating to help relieve associated feverish colds while helping to promote a good night’s sleep. 4,13

Ribwort plantain dry leaf extract

Ribwort plantain dry leaf extract is a demulcent that creates a protective coating on the throat to relieve irritation and reduce the urge to cough. 4,9,18

Start at the early signs of common cold. Use the dosage cap provided. 4

The recommended dose is:

  • Adults and children 12 years and above:  15 ml up to 4 times daily (maximum daily dose up to 60 ml)

The last dose should be taken directly before bedtime.

  • Paediatric population:  Children 4 to 11 years:  7,5 ml 3 to 4 times daily (maximum daily dose up to 30 ml).

The last dose should be taken directly before bedtime.

The medicine is taken undiluted. It is recommended not to drink and/or eat for 30 minutes to 1 hour after intake. If the symptoms worsen or persist longer than 7 days during the use of this medicine, a doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.
